Taking a new direction

Hello!

I originally started this blog about two years ago to track the growth of my family and to help remember the places life took us. After not keeping up with posting, I have decided to take the blog in a new direction.

I'm going to take you on our journey of unhealthy living and the health conditions we face to a healthier living and hopefully getting off some medications. I'm hoping that blogging will help to keep us accountable to our goals and to help keep us on track.

Our goals:
  • To eat a healthier diet.
  • To exercise regularly.
  • To travel more.
  • To grow closer as a family.
  • To have better house management (cleaning mostly)
  • To get organized.
  • Make more things by hand to better our home

Some specific health goals:
  • To loose some weight.
  • Improve heart health.
  • Better control of my diabetes.
  • Improve control over my thyroid disease.
  • Improve Memory.
I'm sure some of these goals will change as the year progresses but this is our starting point. I look forward to seeing what the coming year brings!

A quick life update; we now have two little boys ages 2 years, and 5 months. We have no debt, YAY!! I feel like we don't get enough family time at the moment, and our house is in constant disarray. We eat mostly home-cooked food, although not necessarily healthy.
I have moderately high BP, weigh 260 Lbs, have Type 2? diabetes with an A1c of 7.4 (currently on Victosa for control), hypothyroid disease, fitness level 0.5? LOL (but really, its not good), Insomnia, crazy brain fog, poor memory (guys, I can't remember what happened yesterday most of the time and I'm only 22), and occasional anxiety.
Hubby is doing well with fair control of sleep apnea, and mild disturbances from POTS syndrome. Work is slow, but we're debt free so it's ok.
Buba is a healthy two year old, needs work on listening and obeying right away, and sharing (what two year old doesn't?).
Juju is a healthy 5 month old, on track to be a strong and adventurous little boy.

Well that's all for now, until next time,
Have A Blessed Day!
