Happy Birthday Baby!
Happy, Happy Birthday!
This week my baby turned one, soon he won't want to be called baby anymore! This post I will be writing about JT's fist year and all the things he has learned as well as what I look forward to seeing him learn and our plans for the coming year.
James is one, in the past year he has mastered crawling and learned to walk, he is pretty much running now, he mastered climbing the stairs and getting off the couch. He loves his blanky with the monsters on it, it goes everywhere.... He loves his morning snuggles and story time, he is learning to pick up his toys and he sometimes gets me a diaper when he needs it to be changed. He asks to be picked up and is trying to say words, he can sign please, more, and all done, he has also made his own sign for asking for something he wants (a play on the sign for want). He eats just about anything and drinks from a sippy cup. He has the cutest smile and belly laugh, he loves it when you chase him around, play peek-a-boo, or copy what he is doing and vice versa. I love seeing his character come out and his personality as well. He throws tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants and understands when he's in trouble. Overall he is a great and wonderful child whom I am happy to call my own and look forward to ever coming day.
I look forward to hearing him talk and share his opinions, and laugh at jokes, to home-school and teach him life skills. To see him enjoy life and learn to solve problems, to grow a love for God and share it with others.
In the coming year we will be potty training and teach him to sleep on a mat (for all the traveling we do), talk, stack blocks, throw a ball, say please and thank you, share his toys, to sit quietly when he needs to, and possible start teaching him his colors, shapes, letters and numbers (if he wants to learn). For now potty training will be our first thing to master.
I look forward to every day with this little guy and teaching him about this world we call home, I long for him to have a little brother or sister. Our plan is to simply live for our Lord and go wherever he calls us.
